ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, MO-7, Size 0, Green, 8" x 18" is a sterile, nonabsorbable, braided surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate, a high-molecular-weight, long-chain polyester. The suture is specifically designed to provide reliable long-term tensile strength for soft tissue approximation and ligation, especially in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and orthopedic procedures where permanent support is required.

The suture is coated with polybutylate, a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound that acts as a lubricant. This coating enhances the physical performance of the suture by reducing tissue drag and improving its handling characteristics. The result is greater ease of knot tying and superior knot security when compared to uncoated braided sutures, contributing to reliable surgical outcomes.

This configuration includes an MO-7 taper point needle, designed for atraumatic penetration of soft tissues.
